As a legal entity, the MRC Corporation is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually by the MRC voting membership. All directors and volunteer members of the MRC serve without remuneration. They may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred during the performance of their duties.
The MRC membership consists of two types of members; Ordinary members (voting) and Honourary Members (non-voting).
The MRC has approximately 110 members. The thirty most active members are considered Ordinary members/voting members. The rest of our membership are honourary/non-voting members, who are less active, but are either currently involved in one or more events that interest them, or are individuals who were involved in past MRC activities.
Non-voting membership is open to anyone in the community 18 years of age or older. As an MRC member you will participate in MRC activities; help develop new activities; receive communication about activities; make new friends; contribute your expertise to the community and demonstrate support for the MRC. Please complete an Honourary Membership form and e-mail the completed form to [email protected] . There is currently no membership fee for honourary members.
