MRC Fun Day a Great Success!
The MRC Fun Day was a great success! It was great to see families and friends get together in a day of fun events. Clarol the Clown entertained the children with an interesting show with smiles all around. Clarol’s associates did a great job with face painting on some of the children and…some adults who felt in the party spirit:) The volleyball courts were busy with some volleyball games and a day at the beach for others. Everyone enjoyed a nice luncheon at the end of the festivities. Thanks goes out to all the helpers including our own personal photographer. See you next year…

October 2014
The MRC was awarded a Community Builder Grant by Libro Credit Union. An outdoor volleyball league for Essex County youth will be offered this summer at the Maidstone Recreation Centre. With the help of supporters like the Libro Credit Union, young people in grades 8 through 11 will have an opportunity to play on four well groomed sand volleyball courts. The MRC Libro Credit Union has donated $10,000 to assist with the purchase of a small tractor and court grooming equipment. The Bank of Montreal also donated $800 towards this initiative.
